I unashamedly can admit that I am a football girl. Born and raised in Wisconsin, I bleed green and gold, but I like all football from high school to college to my Green Bay Packers. And we all know that football games are a perfect reason to tailgate!
I shop at ALDI all the time so I have partnered with them, mainly because when I’m feeding my crew of boys, it’s so much more affordable to get organics, fresh meat, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options so conveniently! Of course, as a dietitian I make sure I always have veggies. This Avocado Jalapeño Ranch Dip using nonfat Greek yogurt and avocados is a perfect spicy and creamy blend to dip those veggies. ALDI is constantly growing their organic options, too!
Speaking of crunch, even though I am a dietitian, I am human first and I love salty, crunchy foods! I personally do not follow a gluten-free diet, but I love that ALDI has a huge variety of gluten-free options with their liveGfree line. In fact, my favorite chips at ALDI happen to be liveGfree Sweet Chili Brown Rice Crisps. I dip them in guac and I’m a happy, happy girl. Did you know the liveGfree line earned the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval?
Moving on to the main course, I love the Earth Grown vegetarian and vegan line for myself. Super easy to bring a box of Kale Veggie Burgers to the tailgate to throw on the grill. If you’ve got meat eaters in the crowd, you will win them over with these Game Day Sliders. Sautéed onions, bacon, Havarti, grass-fed beef burger on a biscuit? Winner!!! For dessert, my husband and kids loooove these Peanut Butter Granola Bites. They only have 5 ingredients, and use fresh fruit! Literally these bites disappear within hours of coming out of the oven in my house! Plus, they are the perfect little size for a sweet treat without weighing you down.
